Equipment Rental Rules – KSMO “Kovcheg”
1. These rules govern the relationship between the owner of the rented item (hereinafter, the Owner) and the renter of the item (hereinafter, the Renter).
2. These rules may be modified unilaterally by the Owner, but only while the item is in the Owner’s storage and no final rental agreement with the Renter has been concluded.
3. During the rental period, the item is transferred into the possession of the Renter.
4. The Renter is obliged to handle the item with care, maintain it, and perform careful repairs if necessary throughout the rental period.
5. When renting the item, the Renter must provide the Owner with a security deposit, or, by mutual agreement, a passport or other guarantees, and must provide their passport and contact details.
6. The security deposit for the item is equal to the cost of a new item in monetary terms.
7. The rental fee is 1.5–2% per day of the item’s value (security deposit).
8. When handing over the item, both the Owner and Renter must verify the completeness and condition of all components (according to the checklist). A Condition Report shall be drawn up and signed by representatives of both parties.
9. If a monetary deposit is left with the Owner, the Renter has the right not to return the item after the rental period; in this case, the Owner retains the deposit. The deposit is also retained by the Owner in the event of the item being lost by the Renter.
10. Upon return of the item, the Owner assesses its condition based on the Condition Report, in the presence of the Renter. The Renter may dispute the assessment, but the final decision on the item’s condition rests with the Owner. Minor wear and tear resulting from normal use is permissible.
11. In the event of obvious damage to the item, repairs shall be paid for by the Renter.
12. The quality of repairs performed by the Renter is evaluated by the Owner. The Owner may demand compensation for damages resulting from poor-quality repairs.
13. In the event of full or partial loss of any components of the item, their cost will be charged. Component costs are determined according to the attached approved list.
